Why our Clean & Grease runs on Grezzy+

A clean drivetrain is a fast drivetrain. It shifts crisply, runs quietly and wears out far more slowly. That's the whole point of our Clean & Grease service, and it's why we're fussy about what goes on your bike while it's on our stand.
Every Clean & Grease we do is carried out with Grezzy+. Here's why.
Made by the people who formulate it
Grezzy+ is a Spanish bike-care brand that does everything under one roof. They develop their formulas and produce them in-house, with their own machinery and their own technicians, rather than relabelling something made elsewhere.
For a workshop, that matters. We want to know that the bottle we open in March behaves exactly like the one we opened in October, and that the people behind it can tell us what's in it and why.
Step one: get it properly clean
Lube on a dirty chain just makes grinding paste. So the service starts by stripping the drivetrain back to bare metal: chain, cassette, chainrings, jockey wheels and derailleurs.
- Drivetrain Formula is the degreaser that does the heavy lifting. It cuts through old lube and road grime without us having to attack components with harsh solvents.
- E-Razer Formula is a foaming cleaner for the frame, wheels and everything else, so the bike goes home clean, not just the chain.
Grezzy+ themselves recommend fully degreasing before the first application of their wax lube, so no traces of a previous lubricant are left to mix in. It's the same principle we work to on every bike.
Step two: the right lube for how you ride
There's no single "best" lube. It depends on where and how you ride, so we choose with you:
- Hyperlube is a dry, wax-based lube with PTFE. Once it has dried it leaves almost no residue, so dust and sand have very little to stick to. That means a cleaner chain and less wear. It's our go-to for dry, dusty roads and for riders who hate black fingers.
- Hyperlube Graphene adds nano-graphene to the wax for an extra-smooth feel through the gears. Grezzy+ call it the best version of their dry lube to date, and it copes with light damp as well as dry days.
- Oil-Power Graphene is an oil-based lube with nano graphite and PTFE for riders who see more wet miles. It stays surprisingly dry on the chain, but keeps the durability and water resistance of an oil.
Applied properly and left to cure, these lubes keep the drivetrain cleaner between services. That's the real win: your bike stays in the condition we hand it back in for longer.
Step three: grease where it counts
The "grease" half of the service covers the contact points that keep the bike quiet and safe: threads, pivots, cable entry points and anywhere metal meets metal. Grezzy+ make technical greases for exactly that job, so we use one system from start to finish.
Keep it going at home
Between services, a few minutes after a ride makes a big difference:
- Wipe down with Waterless Formula and a dry cloth. No hose needed, and it leaves an anti-static film that helps repel dust.
- Re-lube the chain with a thin coat of the same lube we used, and wipe off the excess.
- Let wax lubes dry for a few hours before you ride.
Not sure which lube you're on? Ask us. We'll tell you what went on your bike and what to top it up with.
