This page explains the cookies used on Rock Cyclery (www.rockcyclery.com), why we use them and how you can change your choice. Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser.
Your choice
When you first visit, we ask whether you accept optional cookies. Nothing optional is used until you choose, and rejecting them doesn't stop you using the shop. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with Cookie settings, also linked at the bottom of every page. We ask again at least once a year, and sooner if this policy changes.
Essential cookies
These are needed for the shop to work, so they don't need your consent.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
PrestaShop-… | Rock Cyclery | Keeps your basket, sign-in, language and currency while you shop. | Up to 20 days |
rc_consent | Rock Cyclery | Remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask on every page. | 12 months |
_GRECAPTCHA | Google (reCAPTCHA) | Protects our forms from spam and automated abuse. | Up to 6 months |
When you pay by card, SumUp (our payment provider) sets its own cookies on its secure payment page to process the payment safely.
Analytics cookies (optional)
With your consent, Google Analytics tells us how people use the site, such as which pages are visited and how visitors find us, so we can improve it. Google Analytics doesn't store your IP address. If you say no, the Google Analytics tag sends nothing.
| Cookie | Set by | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Tells visits from the same browser apart. | 2 years |
_ga_… | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your current visit. | 2 years |
Marketing cookies (optional)
With your consent, marketing cookies let us measure whether our adverts work and show relevant adverts on other sites. We don't currently use any; if we add some, they'll be listed here and will only run if you say yes.
Google Consent Mode
We use Google Consent Mode, which tells Google's tags whether you have agreed to analytics and marketing cookies. Until you agree, they don't store or read cookies.
More information
For how we handle personal data generally, see our privacy and GDPR page. Questions about cookies: info@rockcyclery.com. You can also delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.
