The BCAA are three essential amino acids, specifically leucine, isoleucine and valine, they metabolize in the muscle, unlike the rest of amino acids (in a general way) that do so in the liver. The combination of these essential amino acids composes almost a third of the skeletal muscles in the human body and plays a very important role in protein synthesis.
We use the proportion 8: 1: 1 with extra load of leucine, since it is the one that initiates the processes of protein synthesis. They are also known as branched chain amino acids and their main functions are:
