HydraJelly is an energy gel with a jelly texture and packed with carbohydrates (22.6 g). The consumption of carbohydrates is closely related to the intensity and duration of exercise; however, the ability to maintain or increase performance when practicing sports, while reducing muscle damage and building stable blood glucose levels or avoiding the depletion of glycogen stores, are some of the benefits appreciated from an adequate intake when practicing sport.
Hydrajelly has a widely studied glucose/fructose ratio of 4:3 or, in other words 1:0.75, presenting a higher oxidation rate compared to solutions with only monosaccharides, resulting in faster gastric emptying, fewer instances of intestinal upset and therefore greater availability of substrate.
Furthermore, carbohydrates contribute to the recovery of normal muscle function (contraction) following high-intensity or long-duration physical exercise responsible for muscle fatigue and the depletion of glycogen stored in the skeletal muscles. *
Hydrajelly is available in 40 g sizes and 5 flavors, all of which contain various amounts of sodium to maintain electrolyte balance, a possible cause of muscular cramps and hyponatremia:
