Without a doubt, coffee is one of the most consumed beverages in the world. However, not all coffees are the same. At 226ERS®, we are committed to specialty coffee, guaranteeing product traceability throughout the production chain, offering a high-quality coffee with a strong social and environmental commitment.
SOLO COFFEE has been certified under the standards of the SCA (Specialty Coffee Association), one of the most important entities in the world of coffee and which plays a decisive role in the different points of the supply chain of this food.
Specialty Coffee Colombia
It's a specialty coffee, so its quality begins from the moment the best varieties of the Arabica species are selected—in this case, Castillo, Caturra, and Colombia. These are grown at high altitudes, between 1500 and 1900 meters above sea level. Once at their optimal ripeness, the cherries are hand-selected and sorted, removing any that could contaminate the final product. With the coffee cherries harvested, the process moves to the next stage: processing. Our Panches Siquila is obtained through a washed process, resulting in a cleaner and brighter final cup. It's a balanced coffee with a profile that features prominent chocolate notes, along with hints of nuts and citrus reminiscent of orange.
Our tips and recommendations.
You can prepare it with milk or your favorite plant-based milk. However, don't hesitate to try it on its own, either as an espresso or using filter methods; you might be surprised by the result.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE 1Kg format, whole bean coffee:
Adjust the dosage and grinding if necessary, according to your preferred preparation method, and prepare according to the manufacturer's instructions.
For French Press, we recommend the following recipe:
- 35 grams with a medium-coarse grind (Coarse salt texture).
- 500 ml of mineral water, ideally using water of low-medium hardness.
- Heat water to 92-93°C or simply bring it to a boil, then let it sit for a few seconds. Let the mixture steep for 4 minutes, or until the grounds settle. Slowly push the plunger down, being careful not to disturb the sediment, for a cleaner cup.
- Enjoy a delicious cup of coffee!
250g format, ground coffee:
For mocha, we recommend:
- Fill the funnel of the moka pot or Italian coffee maker with ground coffee.
- Pour boiling mineral water into the valve, ideally using water with low to medium hardness.
- Fit and close the different parts of the moka pot and place it over a heat source.
- Leave the lid up to see when the liquid starts to come out, avoiding leaving it on the heat once the top is full.
- Pour into a container, wait a few minutes, and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee!
DRIP format, 7-unit case:
- Ideal to take with you everywhere, whether to work, while traveling, bikepacking, hiking, or on any adventure.
- Open the dripper following the dotted line and adjust the flaps on the container.
- Carefully pour water into the dripper until it's full and let it filter through. Repeat this process two to three times, depending on the desired intensity.
- Carefully remove the dripper and enjoy your cup of coffee.
