Energy gel formulated with maltodextrin and fructose, in a 10:8 ratio, with a high carbohydrate content, 30g and 55g per gel, in 44g and 80g formats. They contain sodium, are suitable for vegans and are available in 7 flavors as well as 2 sizes.
High Fructose Gel has the Cologne List seal , the world's first and largest anti-doping platform for nutritional supplements.
Cologne List only includes products that have undergone rigorous testing to verify, through analysis and label verification, that manufacturers do not use prohibited substances included on the WADA (World Anti-Doping Agency) list in their products.
Each 80g gel provides 55g of carbohydrates and 250mg of sodium. The 44g XS format provides 30g of carbohydrates and 140mg of sodium.
This formulation, based on "multi-transportable carbohydrates," has been shown in various studies* to facilitate intestinal absorption through different transporters. This characteristic represents an effective mechanism for increasing the rate of assimilation and oxidation of exogenous carbohydrates to over 60 g per hour*.
For this reason, research confirms that it is highly recommended to combine carbohydrate sources such as maltodextrin and fructose.
MALTODEXTRIN:
- Unlike glucose, it needs to be broken down, resulting in a more gradual and sustained source of energy.
- It has a high glycemic index, achieving a rapid increase in blood glucose without necessarily providing an excessively sweet taste that could overwhelm us in this type of product.
- As it is a carbohydrate chain, it has a high molecular weight which leads to a solution with a lower osmolarity, promoting digestion and reducing possible gastrointestinal side effects.
FRUCTOSE:
- Fructose is a monosaccharide, the simplest form in which we can find carbohydrates, using a ratio of 1:0.8, based on the latest studies to maximize the oxidation of exogenous carbohydrates compared to other proportions.
- The use of fructose in such a specific proportion is especially recommended for athletes who exceed carbohydrate intakes of 60g/h.
- Thanks to this, through the combination of both, maltodextrin and fructose allows for the digestion and assimilation of a high amount of carbohydrates per hour, minimizing the risk of suffering from gastric problems.
