The Factor SARANA is an ultra-distance gravel bike engineered for riders seeking maximum performance, control and efficiency over long and demanding mixed-terrain routes. Developed specifically for modern ultra-endurance gravel racing, the SARANA is designed to maintain speed and stability across rough surfaces while reducing rider fatigue during extended hours in the saddle. 

The frame is constructed using an advanced carbon layup that balances lateral stiffness for efficient power transfer with vertical compliance to absorb high-frequency vibrations from washboard gravel, loose terrain and technical descents. A dropped leaf-spring seat-stay design and subtly offset seat tube introduce controlled flex at the rear of the bike, improving comfort and traction without compromising responsiveness.

The geometry is optimised for sustained high-speed riding over variable terrain. Stack and reach proportions are designed to maintain an aggressive yet manageable riding position during prolonged efforts, while refinements to wheelbase and trail improve stability without reducing agility. The bike accommodates tyre clearance up to 57 mm (2.2 inches), allowing riders to adapt the setup for rough gravel, mud and technical conditions. 

The SARANA is compatible with both rigid carbon forks and 30 mm suspension forks without altering the bike’s geometry or handling characteristics. It also supports 1x drivetrains with chainrings up to 52 teeth, dropper seatposts and modern UDH standards, offering versatility for different racing and adventure setups. 

Integrated functionality is a major part of the design. The frame includes internal storage solutions and dedicated mounting options for custom frame bags developed in collaboration with Post Carry. The aerodynamic frame shapes are designed to work together with the storage system to maintain efficiency during long-distance events. 

Designed with input from ultra-endurance rider Rob Britton, the SARANA has been tested extensively in real-world conditions including ultra-distance gravel events and demanding backcountry terrain. Its combination of stability, compliance and efficiency makes it suitable for races such as Traka, Atlas Mountain Race and Transcordilleras, as well as riders seeking a capable and performance-focused gravel platform for long-distance exploration.
